canyonblue737 ::: Favorites This was not a NASA landing. It was a landing by Boeing test pilots designed to rate the gear for hard landings during the initial testing of the aircraft. They didn't mean to land it *this* hard and of course having the tail come off was not part of the plan. Luckly the plane didn't have passengers, only 2 pilots and a few test engineers seated pretty far forward.
