This is a trans Atlantic collaborative effort with talented composer Tom Kilworth ( http://youtube.com/tommyk77 ). Tom Composed this short piece named 'time-lapse' and sent it over to me. I interpreted it in my own 'milapse style'. The result is 'Nocturnin' a mini film that takes you on a journey though the night. Enjoy! - as always there are more timelapse technique tips and videos to come... |

milapse 2008-04-12 08:27:08 Thanks! I can't remember the specifics but that part was probably something like 10 second exposures shot wide open with a 30mm F/1.4 - I used the 'echo' filter in after effects to create the 'trails'. __________________________________________________
callisto150 2008-04-12 08:06:08 Absolutely love this video, brilliantly put together. Great music and great lapses. I'm interested in the stars time lapse at 3:13, what kind of exposure for each photo was used? And how many FPS was it when the final video for that part was made? Great work ;-) __________________________________________________
milapse 2008-04-02 08:52:20 It's a balancing act. Slower pan speed for longer exposures. Similarly, slower pan speed for longer intervals as well. I'm using fast glass for most of these shots as well F1.4 and F2.8. __________________________________________________
MPPhotography 2008-04-01 23:43:41 what is the shutter speed during the day and night when you are doing the panning shots? I would think it had to be fast to stop it from blurring. Great job on all you videos __________________________________________________
andreschamat 2008-04-01 12:00:12 Great job, both the video and the music :) __________________________________________________ |
