Description:

The Lord's Prayer in Gaelic - there's a bit of a weird, stretchy screen ratio. I'll sort that out later on...

He gets it at school, but his next door neighbours speak it at home, so he probably picks up some from them.

Aww! the wee lad is so cute. Did he learn it at home or is it taught as school now?

I was going to ask what Irish dialect he was speaking, glad I had the sense to read the comments first. Gaidhlig is very similar to Gaeilge, and is closest to Ulster Gaeilge.

"No, Scottish, but I think Gaelic and Irish are pretty similar." The fact is that both Irish and Scottish are Gaelic; Irish Gaelic being Gaelge and Scottish Gaelic being Gaidhlig, but they are in fact almost the same, as they both descend from Old Irish. Thus they are mutually intelligible.

ahhhh. Cool. That was definitely Scottish. The Irish equivalent is: Ár nAthair atá ar neamh, go naofar d'ainm, go dtaga do ríocht, go ndéantar do thoil ar an talamh mar a dhéantar ar neamh. Ar n-arán laethúil tabhair dúinn inniu, agus maith dúinn ár bhfiacha, mar a mhaithimidne dár bhféichiúna féin, agus ná lig sinn i gcathú, ach saor sinn ó olc. I could understand some of the words.
