blazer79 ::: Favorites 2007-05-06 22:43:20 The voices belong to Tim Ryan & Ted Lindsey. This was an NBC game in 1975. Back then, the only time that players had their last names on their uniforms was on nationally televised games, which weren't very often. __________________________________________________

I recall that being the situation in game 6 of the other semi-final series; between Philadelphia and the Islanders. That was another great game from the 1975 playoffs. Neither the Flyers nor the Sabres had names on their jerseys for the Cup-clinching game 6 of the Finals. __________________________________________________

xtofu666x ::: Favorites 2007-11-21 00:18:24 I haven't seen that goal in 32 years -- and it turns out that my memory of it was spot on ;) I remember Luce being kicked out of the face-off, Ramsay winning the draw, poking the puck between the center's legs and the three of them spread out on the rush -- Ramsay hung onto the puck just long enough to make the defense commit, and at the last second slid the pass to Gare who put it between Dryden's skates. Magic. __________________________________________________ |
