The only person trying to be something is you, bro. Yeah, I was BORN & RAISED in P.R. but I'm not P.Rican, what an idiot. My Cuban grandma had Spanish parents and I never heard her say she was Spanish, BECAUSE she was Cuban. I am proud of my Cuban descend (it's also part of me) but I am P.Rican because YOU ARE FROM WHERE YOU GROW UP, you fool. I don't need to see documentaries to know the culture & politics of PR. For your info, YOU are AMERICAN bro; Yes, of P.Rican descend but AMERICAN.

There's simply no such thing as a 40% separatist vote, you ignorant, I don't give a shit in what mediocre documentary you saw such trash, IT IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY TRUE. Those fools never surpass 5%. IN FACT, in the last '04 elections they got 2.4% of the popular votes. Look bro, if this is how you know about PR, then you are truly as P.Rican as I am Turkish alright, meaning not much.

PR now has fewer industry after the end of -La 936- and its resources alone are not sufficient to ever maintain the standard of living it has today. Cuba and DR have more resources than PR and at lower prices; for such, most fruits in PR markets come from DR, and just wait if Cuba re-enters capitalism, PR would have no chance. Yeah, the national GDP needed to maintain 4 million people adequately is going to come from just bananas and "we must still have gold", you are hilariously ignorant.

pr is the victim from wat alot of ricans say from the island and over here. thats why the PR nationalist flag was made it was made to symbolize freedom. Pedro Campos fought for it and was killed. PR has the same resouces that most other countries in the carribean that are independent have such as Sugarcane, coffee, plaintain, bananas, livestock, and pineapples and we must still have gold on the island so i think well do pretty damn good

I don't attack you for where you live or what language you speak or not, nor who you are culturally. I attacked your false political statements that I have heard too many times already, statements that consistently come from Nuyoricans and are far from PR's reality or interest, THAT is why P.Ricans get mad at Nuyoricans. Most of the island hates separatists, they will be disliked much more if they hypocritically don't even live in PR but in the US, what the fuck is that, come on.

Not only do I get mad because you are making up shit, but because the independence of PR means the end of PR. PR is today broke even with the US, imaging without them, THE PLACE DOES NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES. For Nuyoricans it's an absurd identity issue (they don't live there, nor will they when it's independent and broke), real P.Ricans don't have the identity issue and it's a political and economic reality. PR has been blessed and your absurd independence will only destroy it.

No Jonny, what matters is saying the truth. Making allegations based on FACTS, that's what matters. Since Luis Munoz Marin, USA doesn't have PR forced to a colony, P.Ricans have electoral freedom to keep the union, re-enforce it, or rejected it. Every time I hear that absurd "PR the victim" argument it's 9/10 a Nuyorican. I respect your love for PR, that makes 2 of us. But politically you are detached from PR's reality with BS statements like that.
