Description:

This is a question for Dr. Ron Paul about his stance on civil Rights, with respect to his opposition to the Voting rights act and Civil Rights act. However I would like to hear all the candidates reply if possible.

It just sends a chill down my spine that a white person actually believes the white majority in this country will not exclude blacks from their institutions and businesses based on them being black alone. While I agree the government cannot legislate or regulate thought, I also agree that history has shown how whites react to black empowerment in this country and that cannot just be flippantly dismissed.

I agree. This is why I'm extremely interested in what he has to say because I like Ron Paul's constitutional and individual liberty stances on issues. I believe he speaks the truth and he appears to be a principled person based on his voting record in congress. But...at the end of the day, in relation to me and my people, his is a white male.

Well, no, not now. You have a nation and a homeland and it is called ISRAEL. There should be no more gifts from anyone, especially the U.S., to Israel because the Jews there have a socio-economic & political infrastructure they control and they have the ability to defend themselves. Do Africans residing here in America have the same? NO.

Again, to be quite honest, this is a hot button issue and can make more or break the momentum Ron Paul has. It will probably be asked simply because of that nature alone, and to be honest he'll probably knock it out of the park like he usually does because he's honest.

To continue what I said before. I couldn't remotely comprehend what reparations America should give to Blacks in America. I mean they did give $20k per family for the Asians put in concentration camps during WWII, but not until the 80's, but is that the right price? Did that do justice? What about the Jews enslaved by basically the world up until lately? I truly hope we not forget our past, learn from mistakes of our fathers, and make things better socially and culturally.

I beg to differ on that, to the majority of people I am considered white. But I'm Jewish. My family is also from Soviet Russia, a nation of slaves with a brand of inferiority for being Jewish, hunted by both their own people and Nazi's. Do you think as a Jew but 1st generation American, should I get reparations from the former USSR and Germany for my relatives killed in cold blood?

But see, that is not going to happen? Why? Because whites, who have never suffered any war crimes or prosecution for slavery in this country, get a GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card for slavery. Blacks just have to move on and forgive and forget when it comes to their enemies, but whites never forgive and forget when it comes to theirs. Why not give Osama Bin Ladin a hug and forgive him?

MLK, preached peace and how did he die? A white man put a bullet in him. So, that discussion is over. Malcolm X wasn't just for strong black power, as if that if wrong, but for changing the relationship between blacks and whites by letting them co-exist on truly EQUAL terms. What does EQUAL mean? Do you comprehend the enormous transfer of wealth from white to black needed to make our races EQUAL in this country?
