Description:

A discussion of Lasker's Trap, which shows up in the Albin Countergambit to the Queen's Gambit. I had to use WinBoard for this lecture because PGNMentor does not allow me to promote my pawn to a knight. :-(

Can you give a specific move order or a time in the video you're referring to? I have no idea what you're talking about, but thanks for the feedback!

block with bishop, then Q+ and either he has to block the check with the knight, and defend his bishop, white will then take his bishop, i've analysed it and there is no quick mate available for black

This is very informative for a beginner like myself. After I saw this video, my weaker color (Black) actually came to be a stronger color! Thank you!

Nothing is wrong, in fact that is how the game will play out. Material will be even however Black will have a long-term advantage due to White's isolated e pawn.

at 3:17 Whats wrong with whites knight taking blacks bishop (d2) to get out of check & force the queen to move. If queen takes pawn e5 then they will be pretty much even right?
