A bunch of people doing a monotonous routine, getting repeatedly interrupted by a wild card who wants to do something different, and repressing him. There was an old Ed Sullivan Muppet sketch that had a bunch of pink hose-creatures dancing to a silly beat, and a little hose kept trying to do his own moves and getting beaten up by the bigger hoses.
