UPTRAIN ::: Favorites Right, "our" train had no idea until we did watching it. When the train is placed in emergency, it all exhausts at one time in a big whoosh, not gradually like that. 07-07-20 02:28:59 _____________________________________________________
Landaux ::: Favorites The cam train had the green signal, and became red in the face, he didnt have the chance to E-stop. Boy cams in this kind of situation are going to be more and more useful. 07-07-23 05:40:59 _____________________________________________________
screaminfiero ::: Favorites I agree man...as a conductor, this really frightens me. Just the thought of that happening makes me cringe. I'm 23 and I have a feeling my heart would stop if this happened! Soooo crazy. 07-08-01 14:42:23 _____________________________________________________
kd5giv ::: Favorites Look at the signal before 5 seconds into the video. It is double red meaning stop, right? 07-08-01 19:44:47 _____________________________________________________
kd5giv ::: Favorites Sorry I think they are both yellow. Very hard to tell because if video quality. 07-08-01 19:51:14 _____________________________________________________
screaminfiero ::: Favorites It doesn't matter...as long they were lined for the siding they obviously had the right away. As soon as the mainline train went through the stop signal the stop signal on the other side of the interlocking would drop to a stop signal as well. I was wondering if this was a cab signal territory or not. If it was, they would've seen the cab signal drop to a restricting and they should have at least slowed down a lil bit. 07-08-03 01:59:23 _____________________________________________________
screaminfiero ::: Favorites But if it wasn't cab signal territory then they probably had no idea what the signal was until they were close enough to see and at that point it would be way past the point of return. The crew busting through the interlocking obviously screwed up somehow. So yea, the double red means stop, but it should have been a medium clear/medium approach, or whatever the proper signaling for them would be. 07-08-03 01:59:29 _____________________________________________________
